Undergraduate Student Association

The Undergradute Student Assocation is the official undergraduate school government which provides students a voice in matters pertaining to the affairs of the University and Fairbanks School of Public Health.  The aims of this body are to improve the quality of undergraduate student life,  to encourage the highest quality of undergraduate instruction, to provide a means for undergraduate students to become involved in determining future University and Fairbanks School of Public Health directions and planning, and to otherwise enhance graduate student involvement on the University campus and the community. MPH Curriculum Committee

The MPH Curriculum Committee is comprised of the Concentration Directors, Department Chair, Associate Chairs, and three MPH students; one from each cohort. This committee reviews proposals for new courses and degrees, discusses issues related to the academic programs, and reflects on short-term and long-term curricular goals, objectives and targets. This committee meets once per month during the academic year. 

 

MPH Graduate Student Government

The Master of Public Health Student Government (MPHSG) is the official graduate school government which provides students a voice in matters pertaining to the affairs of the University and Fairbanks School of Public Health.  The aims of this body are to improve the quality of graduate student life, to contribute more effectively to campus life in general, to encourage the highest quality of graduate instruction, to provide a means for graduate students to become involved in determining future University and Fairbanks School of Public Health directions and planning, and to otherwise enhance graduate student involvement on the University campus and the community. MHA Program Committee

The MHA Program Committee provides faculty oversight for matters of graduate admission, curriculum and standards for student academic progress for the MHA degree and graduate certificate programs. One first year and one second year MHA student serve on the committee but are not in attendance during the admission and academic progress segments of the meeting.

PhD Student Association

The PhD student association is the  official school association, which provides students a voice in matters pertaining to the affairs of the University and Fairbanks School of Public Health.  The aims of this body are to improve the quality of graduate student life, to contribute more effectively to campus life in general, to encourage the highest quality of graduate instruction, to provide a means for graduate students to become involved in determining future University and Fairbanks School of Public Health directions and planning, and to otherwise enhance graduate student involvement on the University campus and the community. Visit them on Facebook!

 

Graduate and Professional Student Government (GPSG)

The Graduate and Professional Student Government (GPSG) is the official voice of 8,000+ graduate and professional students on the IUPUI campus. GPSG provides resources and events to enhance students' experience, promotes active dialogue between our community and school administration, and advocates on behalf of graduate and professional students on issues important to them. 

GPSG meets twice each month. All graduate and professional students are welcome to attend!

Community Practice Committee

Coordinated by the MPH Program Manager for Student and Community Affairs, this committee includes both faculty, practitioners and students. Committee members discuss matters related to the practice component of the curriculum. Among the topics are identification of sites and preceptors, definition of student and preceptor expectations, and evaluation of these experiences. Meetings are four times per year.
