Goals and Objectives

The following four goals guide the RMFSPH in attaining its mission:

  • Deliver a Portfolio of Outstanding Educational Programs
    • Employers of our graduates and alumni one year after graduation will confirm the curriculum adequately prepares graduates for employment in their field
    • Course evaluations are administered in all RMFSPH programs each term
    • Instructors with primary appointments in the RMFSPH will have their courses peer reviewed at least once every 3 years
    • Instructors with primary appointments in the RMFSPH will attend at least one training or workshop pertaining to teaching per year
    • The Indiana Public Health Training Center will increase training sessions online and in class
  • Develop and Implement a Distinctive Research Program
    • The school will have peer-reviewed publications from primary faculty
    • The school will increase the total dollar value of its extramural research grant/contract proposal submissions each year
    • The  school will increase the total dollar value of its funded research awards each year
    • The school will have faculty presentations at regional, national, or international conferences
  • Advance Service in Public Health by Building Partnerships and Engaging Communities to Improve Health Outcomes of the Population
    • The school will increase the total dollar value of its extramural service grant/contract proposal submissions each year
    • The  school will increase the total dollar value of its funded, collaborative service awards each year
    • Faculty will engage in academic and non-academic service annually
  • Provide an Environment that Supports Diversity
    • The school will meet annually to review its Affirmative Action report and set priorities for the coming year
    • Each search committee will have a written plan to ensure diversity in its applicant pool
    • The school will sponsor at least one cultural competency or diversity program annually
