Max Jacobo Moreno, PhD
Born and raised in Colombia, Dr. Max Jacobo Moreno-Madriñán earned his PhD in environmental health from the University of South Florida School of Public Health, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center. He received his master’s degree in environmental management for sustainable development from Universidad Javeriana in Colombia.
Dr. Moreno’s research focuses on the application of remote sensing technology to public health problems, working to understand the environmental determinants of vector transmitted and neglected diseases, and to the study of the relationship between surface water quality and land use.
